5 Solana Utility Tokens That Are Headed Higher in 2025

There’s a lotta tokens on Solana. Thousands. Okay, millions. But if you exclude all the launchpad memecoins that lived and died within a matter of hours, there are thousands of Solana tokens with sufficient liquidity and volume to trade. But this number becomes smaller still once you filter out all the tokens with zero-to-low utility – memecoins obviously, dubious governance tokens, and tokens that exist purely to justify the project hosting a TGE.

Take away all of that and what are you left with? A small group of Solana tokens, running into the high hundreds at best, that support genuine use cases and have real users. Let’s zoom in closer now and take a look at just five of these. All of the data points to them closing out 2025 on a tear, with an outsized chance of finishing the year higher thanks to the catalysts propelling them. Anyone can get lucky with flipping Solana memecoins. But do a little research and you don’t need to get lucky with Solana assets: you just need to pick the right token with the right utility.

There are no certainties in crypto. But the following tokens have a very good chance of grinding higher through 2025 and early 2026.

World Mobile Chain (WMTx)

World Mobile Chain is the DePIN taking on the telecom giants with its decentralized network for wireless data sharing. With 2.2M users and weekly transaction volume of around 1M, it’s going great guns. But wait a sec…isn’t it on EVM? Yes – it’s a Layer 3 built on Base to be precise. But World Mobile Chain has just deployed its WMTx token on Solana through Raydium, enabling Solana traders to acquire it and capture the upside as its ecosystem expands.

And expanding is something that’s very much on the cards right now. At the start of September, WMTx was listed on Kraken, expanding global access and deepening liquidity. Having now deployed on Solana, it’s also in the process of becoming embedded with the DePIN sector that’s already thriving on the network, driving greater trading volume and sending WMTx higher: at the time of writing the token’s up 40% for the past month and looks like it’s got further to run. If you’re bullish on DePIN and utility tokens that are seeing genuine adoption while solving real-world problems, WMTx ticks all the right boxes.

Parcl (PARCL)

It’s no secret that tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) have been one of this year’s success stories, with a TVL of $32B and the number of active asset holders growing by around 10% per month. On Solana, real estate tokenization platform Parcl is the one to watch. It enables investors to gain exposure to high-end properties through fractionalization, empowering them to participate with as little as $100. This is the democratization of real-world assets we were promised.

More than $4.6B in deals have been closed on Parcl, attesting to the mark it’s making on the real estate industry. Despite this progress, its native PARCL token remains arguably underpriced right now, with a cap of just $30M and a fully diluted cap of $70M. Its fortunes are naturally tied to those of Parcl’s platform, but are also naturally correlated with those of other Solana assets. Given the number of catalysts that are working in the network’s favor as 2025 draws to a close, including reduced SOL sell pressure from the FTX insolvency, key assets in all of its major sectors are likely to rise in lockstep – and when it comes to RWAs, the obvious choice is PARCL. Consider this your 30-day heads up.

Zebec Network (ZBCN)

Zebec is in the payroll business with the goal of “changing the way money moves.” It’s making good on this promise, with 50,000 active users including 250 enterprise clients and payroll volume of around $1B in approaching 150 countries. For consumers, the Zebec Silver and Black cards provide a way to spend crypto anywhere. The Mastercard-based crypto debit cards can be spent in-store and online anywhere Apple and Google Pay are accepted.

The ZBCN token, meanwhile, serves as a dual-purpose governance and utility token and it’s ticking over nicely with daily volume of around $18M and is up 10% for the month at the time of writing. The Zebec team is shipping regularly, having now integrated 17 blockchains while remaining committed to Solana where its native token is issued. It’s gaining particular traction in the EU, where it’s bringing stablecoins to payroll processing, providing hundreds of enterprises with their first taste of blockchain and the benefits it brings. Fade ZBCN at your peril.

Drift (DRIFT)

For all the use cases that Solana supports, it remains best known for trading. And in this domain, Drift is the one to watch. The perpetual futures platform is riding a wave right now as it gears up for the launch of Drift v3. With the ability to trade over 40 markets with up to 20x leverage, Drift delivers exactly what Solana degens want, complemented with the prospect of juicy yield to be earned from supplying collateral, lending, and staking.

But there’s one asset in particular that Solana traders can’t get enough of right now and that’s the DRIFT token. It’s up 50% for the month with impressive 24-hour volume of $70M. The people like the perps. One of the reasons why the platform’s utility token is doing so well is because of its staking program that forms an integral part of the Drift Safety Module for automatically covering bad debt and managing protocol risk. Stakers also enjoy a discount on trading fees – and they’re taking full advantage of it while capitalizing on the upside as DRIFT drifts higher up the chart.

Metaplex is the Solana token and NFT launchpad that’s been responsible for the creation of 920M assets, driving total transaction value of over $10B. It’s the framework that SVM developers turn to when they’re looking to launch tokens using the Metaplex Digital Asset Standard (DAS), aided by a library of trusted and highly robust smart contracts. All of the tooling and dev resources you need to issue Solana assets are provided by Metaplex, from APIs to SDKs.

As for the MPLX token, it’s posting serious numbers, having risen by 40% in the last 30 days. But with a market cap that stands at a comparatively modest $278M, there’s a case for stating that it’s still undervalued given the importance of Metaplex in propping up the entire Solana ecosystem. From Magic Eden to Pump.fun, Metaplex supports the leading Solana projects – and now Solana’s trading army are supporting MPLX, pushing it to new heights as its dominance of the token infra landscape grows.

Choose Tokens With Real Utility

You don’t have to touch utility tokens to be a profitable Solana trader. But if you’re seeking out assets you can sleep on – or even lock up for months at a time with confidence – utility tokens trump volatile memecoins every time. In a fast-moving trading landscape characterized by quick flippers and clickers, utility tokens are the closest thing Solana has to slow burners. Pick the right project, secure yourself a bag, and then sit back and let market forces take care of the rest.
