Remaining Schedule, Player Spotlights, Storylines

With only a few events remaining before the CME Group Tour Championship, the 2025 LPGA Tour is shifting into high gear. After a season that has produced 25 unique winners thus far, seven of them being rookies, every tournament now matters in The Race to CME Globe season-long points race. With valuable CME Points and Rolex Awards on the line, the stage is set for an exciting finish to the 2025 LPGA Tour season.

Seven tournaments remain before the CME Group Tour Championship:

At the conclusion of The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge and Pelican, Tiburon Golf Club at the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida will host the CME Group Tour Championship. Jeeno Thitikul will look to repeat her win from 2024, while other stars like Minjee Lee, Nelly Korda, and Angel Yin look to win the season-ending event and the CME Group Tour Championship.

2025 LPGA Majors

The 2025 LPGA Tour season has seen a lot of variety in its winners. No single player was able to win more than one major, as each of the five majors produced different winners. Mao Saigo was the winner of The Chevron Championship, Maja Stark the winner of the U.S. Women’s Open, Minjee Lee the winner of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Grace Kim the winner of The Amundi Evian Championship, and Miyu Yamashita the winner of the AIG Women’s Open.

LPGA Race to the CME Globe

The variety in winners over the course of the 2025 LPGA season has led to a CME Points race that is a close contest. Jeeno Thitikul leads the points race with 2,900 CME Points. Minjee Lee is in a close second place at 2,340 CME Points, Miyu Yamashita in third place with 1,843 points, Rio Takeda with 1,799 points, and Mao Saigo rounds out the top five with 1,614 points. Stars Nelly Korda, Angel Yin, and Charley Hull trail in sixth place, eighth place, and ninth place, respectively. With each of the next six tournaments (Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown does not award CME Points) awarding 500 CME Points to the winner, it’s anyone’s game.

Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings

The Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings tell a slightly different story from that of the CME Points Race. Jeeno Thitikul has the number one ranking, with Nelly Korda trailing at number two, Lydia Ko at number three, Minjee Lee at number four, and Charley Hull rounds out the top five.

LPGA Player Spotlights

Thailand’s Jeeno Thitikul reclaimed the world number one ranking in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings on August 4 and has held the spot ever since. At only 22 years old, Thitikul has eleven top ten finishes in 2025 as well as one win at the Mizuho Americas Open. She is having an excellent year showing great consistency having only missed one cut.

Superstar Nelly Korda meanwhile lost the world number one ranking to Thitikul in August, ending her 17-month run as world number one. Korda has remained as world number two ever since. While Korda won seven times in 2024, she has yet to post a victory this year but has managed two runner up finishes.

Veteran Lydia Ko has one win in 2025, bringing her career total to 23. Ko holds the world number three ranking and is number one on the LPGA Tour in scrambling and putts per hole. Ko looks to make a strong finish to the 2025 LPGA season by climbing from 16th place in the Race to CME Globe Points Race.

As the 2025 LPGA Tour season approaches its conclusion, the competition remains balanced. With Jeeno Thitikul leading both the Rolex Rankings and the Race to CME Globe, challengers such as Minjee Lee, Miyu Yamashita, and Rio Takeda are positioned to keep the title race undecided until the final putt drops at the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples. These closing weeks will define legacies, crown champions, and highlight the next generation of stars ready to shape the world of women’s professional golf. The final stretch of 2025 promises to be a compelling finish to the 2025 LPGA Tour season.
