Binance’s associated coin, BNB, reached an all-time high today, surpassing the $1,000 level for the first time in its history.
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) shared his feelings in a statement on social media:
It’s impossible to explain in words how BNB has grown from an initial coin offering (ICO) price of $0.10 8 years ago to $1000 today. As a community member and BNB holder, I’d like to thank everyone in the BNB and crypto ecosystem. We had our challenges, but we worked, we built, and we didn’t sell. This is pure community success. This is just the beginning, together we’ll reach the next 10,000x.
The rise in BNB has also seen early investors reap extraordinary rewards. On-chain data reveals that a “diamond-handed” investor with address 0x8503 purchased 999 BNB for less than $1,000 approximately eight years ago. Today, that amount is worth approximately $1 million, and the investor has made a 1,000x return.
Even more striking is another long-term investor who holds 29,440 BNB (approximately $29.28 million). This whale has made $28.8 million in profits from holding the assets for seven years. This investor, who previously withdrew 71,861 BNB from Binance for approximately $1 million, later reinvested 42,421 BNB back into the exchange.
