BALI, Indonesia, Aug. 21, 2025 – Coinfest Asia 2025, the world’s largest crypto festival, officially opened at Nuanu Creative City in Bali, bringing together 10,000 attendees from more than 90 countries. With 300 speakers and 100 side events, the opening day underscored Southeast Asia’s role as a key driver of Web3 adoption, blending industry insights, culture, and community into one immersive experience.

The festival’s first day showcased an impressive lineup of global leaders, including Rachel Conlan, CMO of Binance; Kevin Kwong, CBO of 9GAG & Memeland; Amanda Cassatt, CEO of Serotonin; and Stephan Lutz, CEO of BitMEX, and many more. Sessions focused on institutional adoption and the global market outlook, sparking thought-provoking discussions on how Asia is shaping the future of Web3.

Exclusive highlights included Tokenize Indonesia, an accelerator program that brought institutional players and builders together to explore Real World Assets (RWA), serving as a bridge between traditional finance and Web3 innovation.

The initiative connects institutions facing real world challenges like BRI Ventures, Pegadaian, MDI Ventures, and PosDigi with global blockchain enablers such as Ripple, IOTA, Stellar, and Fireblocks, providing a hands-on pathway to pilot proof of concept projects and scale blockchain based solutions.

Reflecting on the unique format, Kevin Kwong of 9GAG & Memeland noted how the event redefines the usual conference setting.

“Coinfest Asia is truly one of a kind. Hosting the event in Bali brings a refreshing and unique energy to the typical Web3 conference experience. It’s not just about networking and learning—it’s about connecting with the community in a relaxed, inspiring setting.”

Brand Takeovers and Immersive Experiences

Beyond the stages, the festival grounds offered curated spaces where brands connected directly with the communities. Polkadot, Sui, Coinstore, Tokocrypto, Binance, and Pintu were among the names hosting creative takeovers, blending networking with entertainment

The Main Exhibition Hall buzzed with activity as companies like Triv, Indodax, Manta, Bybit, and others showcased their latest innovations. Meanwhile, Coinstore’s Mini Zoo turned heads with its unique concept, while Anichess, Memeland, and a game arcade kept attendees entertained through community-driven activations.

Kwong added that the mix of serious business with Bali’s relaxed vibe is what makes the festival fertile ground for adoption.

“By hosting key industry leaders in such a relaxed and immersive environment, it fosters open conversations and fresh perspectives. This blend of innovation and Bali’s laid-back atmosphere naturally sparks collaboration that drives real adoption in the Web3 space.”

Networking in Bali’s Spirit

As the sun set, Coinfest Asia shifted into Bali’s signature nightlife energy. Polkadot and Mandala hosted sunset and shisha gatherings, while Sui’s Open Bar and the Central Bar Happy Hour set the stage for thousands of new connections.

The celebrations reached the beachfront, where Pintu threw a lively party complete with karaoke and oceanfront mingling. Meanwhile, Coinfest hosted an IRL airdrop experience, adding a playful touch to the evening. This balance of serious deal-making and Bali’s laid-back culture reflected the event’s identity: professional at its core, but designed to feel alive.

The night closed with a celebration of Balinese heritage and Web3’s community spirit. Guests experienced a Balinese Ogoh Ogoh parade and Kecak dance performance, blending local tradition with the global energy of Web3.

At the Arena Stage, the vibe turned playful with Live Degen by Crypstocks and meme inspired panels, showing that crypto culture is as much about community and creativity as it is about technology. The festivities continued with Coinfest Asia’s official after party powered by Indodax, held inside the dome and wrapped in vibrant audio visual energy, bringing everyone together for one last night of music, connection, and celebration.

For the organizers, this year also marked an important shift in how side events were designed. Felita Setiawan, Director of Indonesia Crypto Network (ICN), explained: “What sets Coinfest Asia apart are the festivity and the holistic experience of the event. This year we’re bringing a new concept by hosting all side events inside the venue. We understand that companies want creative freedom for their activities, and rather than dealing with outside logistics, doing it within Coinfest makes it much easier with natural foot traffic. At the same time, it offers diverse experiences for our attendees.”

This event was proudly supported by Tokocrypto, Binance, Bitget, Bybit, CFX, CoinEx, Fireblocks, Gate, Sui, Coinstore, Polkadot, Mandala Chain, IOTA, Manta, Koinsayang, OKX, PINTU, Stellar and many more.
