According to subdomain tracker Bark, Apple has created a new subdomain called ripple.apple.com.
This development has led to speculation that the tech giant is planning a possible integration with the Ripple (XRP) ecosystem.
Until now, Apple and Ripple haven’t announced any major partnerships. There are currently no further details about the development. Accessing the site doesn’t reveal any specific pages.
There’s also speculation that this development could be related to Apple’s Apple Pay platform. Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini recently launched an XRP-themed credit card.
Meanwhile, XRP is trading at $2.98 today, up 1.55%. XRP’s all-time high was $3.84, recorded on January 4, 2018; the current price is approximately 22% below that level.
Additionally, XRP Ledger features the first decentralized exchange (DEX) and custom token creation as part of the protocol.
