What Time Is ‘The Gilded Age’ Season 3 Finale Tonight? Here’s How To Watch

This article contains spoilers from Season 3 of The Gilded Age.

After an intense third season of The Gilded Age filled with twists, turns, and a shocking death, the Season 3 finale is arriving tonight. Here’s everything you need to know about watching the anticipated episode, including the start time, viewing options and more.

There’s a lot at stake heading into Episode 8, especially after last week’s nail-biting cliffhanger. Railroad tycoon George Russell was shot in what appeared to be a surprise assassination attempt. A gunman, pretending to be a messenger, entered George’s office with a delivery for Mr. Russell.

The man takes out a gun, shoots one of the men, and then points the gun at George and fires. However, the episode ends before viewers can find out if George is hit — or if he’s still alive. After the episode, Morgan Spector, who plays George, told Variety that it’s not looking good for his character.

“You should be very worried,” Spector said. “In the 19th century, gunshot wounds from up close were extremely dangerous. Many people didn’t survive them. I don’t have a contract for next season yet, so who knows?”

The suspense surrounding George’s fate is heightened by rising tensions with his wife, Bertha (Carrie Coon), who is set to host the prestigious Newport Ball (which would be even more heartbreaking if she becomes a widow). Meanwhile, Marian Brook (Louisa Jacobson) ended her engagement with Larry Russell (Harry Richardson) after she discovered he lied to her and her aunts about going to dinner with his friends and instead visited “a place of ill repute.”

Is there any hope of reconciliation between the former lovebirds? The Gilded Age executive producer and director Salli Richardson-Whitfield hinted to The Hollywood Reporter what the key to them getting back together might be.

“Marian and Larry, if they’re going to come back together, need to find a way to have more of a modern take on what it means to be in love and to be married,” she explained. “So hopefully Larry can figure out what Marian really needs and what he really wants in a marriage.”
