Twisted Metal Season 2, starring Anthony Mackie and Stephen Beatriz, is new on streaming this week.
The Twisted Metal streaming series, of course, is based on the blockbuster video game series of the same name that was developed by SingleTrac and Sony Interactive Entertainment and first published in 1995 for Sony PlayStation.
Released in 2023, Twisted Metal Season 1 consisted of 10 episodes, while Season 2 will feature 12 episodes. The official summary for Twisted Metal Season 2 reads, “Following the revelations in the Season 1 finale, John (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) find themselves entering the deadly ‘Twisted Metal’ tournament, a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso (Anthony Carrigan).
“As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike, including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth, things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface.”
Twisted Metal Season 2 also stars Joe Seanoa and Will Arnett.
Twisted Metal will begin streaming Season 2 on Thursday, July 31, on Peacock with a three-episode premiere. While the exact release time for new episodes on the NBC Universal streaming platform has not been released, Coming Soon, however, noted that new episodes generally — but not always — become available on Peacock at 5 a.m. ET/2 a.m. PT.
Peacock increased its monthly and yearly subscription prices on July 23. As such, subscriptions to the ad-based Peacock Premium tier cost $10.99 per month or $109.99 yearly, while the ad-free Peacock Premium Plus tier costs $16.99 per month or $169.99 yearly.
How Did Critics Receive ‘Twisted Metal’ Season 1?
