Strategy has expanded its Bitcoin holdings once again, purchasing an additional 4,225 BTC for approximately $472.5 million.
Executive Chairman Michael Saylor announced the acquisition on July 14, noting the purchase was made at an average price of $111,827 per coin.
This latest buy pushes the company’s total BTC reserve to a staggering 601,550 BTC, worth roughly $42.87 billion at the time of reporting. According to Saylor, the firm’s average acquisition cost stands at $71,268 per Bitcoin.
The update also highlighted Strategy’s strong performance in 2025, with the company achieving a year-to-date (YTD) Bitcoin yield of 20.2%. The yield figure underscores the growing profitability of the firm’s Bitcoin-centric treasury strategy amid the ongoing bull cycle.
Strategy remains the largest public holder of Bitcoin by a wide margin, far outpacing other corporate adopters such as Tesla and Metaplanet. The firm’s aggressive accumulation has played a significant role in institutionalizing Bitcoin as a treasury asset.
The announcement follows a broader wave of institutional interest, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs bringing in billions in inflows over the past weeks and BTC trading near all-time highs above $121,000. Strategy’s continued conviction may serve as a leading signal for other institutions considering Bitcoin as part of their reserve strategy.
