Alex Warren Joins Lady Gaga, Harry Styles And Rosé As He Leads Again

Just weeks after releasing his single “Ordinary,” Alex Warren scored the biggest song on the planet with what can now be considered his breakout smash. The track has been leading the charge on the Billboard Global 200 for a historic stretch, and it once again holds at No. 1.

As the tune refuses to vacate the top spot on the worldwide list, Warren joins a select group of artists behind some of the most successful worldwide hits of the past half-decade, and there’s no telling how much longer “Ordinary” will remain the most consumed cut around the globe.

Alex Warren Joins Historic Company

“Ordinary” has now ruled the Billboard Global 200 for a milestone 10 weeks. Billboard reports that it’s just the seventh tune in the history of the tally, established in 2020, to rack up double-digit stays at No. 1.

Impressively, all 10 of those frames have been consecutive. The track first reached the summit on the chart dated May 10 and has not disappeared from that spot since.

Only a Few Songs Have Spent More Time at No. 1

The longest-running No. 1 of all time on the Billboard Global 200 is “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey, which has racked up 19 stays in the penthouse over five years, as it reliably returns to the top each holiday season. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars came close to matching Carey’s record with their collaboration “Die With a Smile,” which led for 18 stints.

Four more global smashes — “As It Was” by Harry Styles (15 weeks), “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus (13), “Apt.” by Rosé and Bruno Mars (12), and “Stay” by The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber (11) — currently sit ahead of “Ordinary.” That ranking could change in the coming weeks, especially if listeners worldwide continue to stream and purchase Warren’s hit.

Alex Warren Dominates the Billboard Global Excl. U.S.

“Ordinary” is also still in charge of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., which is compiled using the same methodology as the Billboard Global 200, minus sales and streams from American listeners. Warren has now earned eight stays at No. 1 on that ranking, and while that’s not quite enough to make history yet, he’s inching closer to some impressive records.

Multiple Alex Warren Tracks Chart at Once

Warren currently fills several spaces on both tallies. In addition to “Ordinary,” his collaboration with Blackpink singer Rosé, “On My Mind,” launches inside the upper half of both rankings this week.

Solo tune “Carry You Home” dips toward the lower reaches of the rosters, while “Bloodline,” his recently-released collaboration with Jelly Roll, can no longer be found on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., but it does tumble nearly 40 spots on the Billboard Global 200.
