Callaway Golf has unveiled a new Odyssey hockey stick putter and Happy Gilmore 2-inspired golf balls … More
In advance of this month’s release of the Happy Gilmore 2, Callaway Golf has unveiled a new limited edition Odyssey hockey stick putter and golf balls inspired by the movie, which showcases the return of funnyman Adam Sandler as a failed hockey player turned unconventional golfer.
The sequel to the cult classic comedy is set to be released July 25 on Netflix.
In the original film, Sandler’s character, the long-hitting Happy Gilmore, was gifted a hockey stick shaped putter with Odyssey branding to help address his notoriously bad putting. After the release of the 1996 movie, Odyssey Golf made a limited edition hockey stick putter. Now, Callaway (which owns Odyssey) has launched an updated model that will be available July 25 at retailers worldwide to coincide with the movie’s debut.
The Odyssey Hockey Stick Putters, which include a Happy Gilmore 2-inspired sock headcover, are priced at $500.

In the new Netflix movie, Sandler (Gilmore) uses a Callaway Chrome Tour Ball, so the Happy Gilmore 2 Limited Edition balls prominently feature popular visuals and quotes. This includes hockey sticks and the hockey jersey Gilmore was known to wear, along with several of his most-quoted sayings, like “just tap it in,” and “it’s all in the hips.”
The Happy Gilmore 2-inspired golf balls will be available at Callaway retailers and green grass golf shops starting today (July 11) and are priced at $60 per dozen.

“It’s so exciting for us to be part of one of the most iconic golf franchises and to be able to update the famous Hockey Stick Putter, as well as bring the exclusive Chrome Tour Balls to the market,” said Callaway Vice President of Global Marketing Nick McInally.
In the sequel, Gilmore returns to competitive golf nearly 30 years after winning the Tour Championship to try to raise money for his daughter’s ballet school tuition.
A number of professional golfers will be featured in the movie, among them Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, John Daly, Will Zalatoris, and Nelly Korda.
