Trump-Linked WLFI Token to Soon Become Transferable, Team Confirms

World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a DeFi initiative tied to President Donald Trump, plans to unlock token transfers.

Investors have waited months for this move, as WLFI holders remained stuck with non-transferable assets.

However, no launch date has been announced.

No Trading Since Launch

Since early 2025, WLFI holders couldn’t move tokens. A smart contract blocked all transfers between wallets and platforms. Many believed they would gain full token access shortly after launch. Instead, wallets sat idle, sparking liquidity concerns.

This restriction limited trading and governance participation. WLFI is supposed to power the platform’s decision-making. Yet locked tokens prevented users from voting on proposals or joining exchanges.

Governance Goals Remain on Hold

WLFI was pitched as the core of a freedom-oriented DeFi platform. Backed in part by Trump, the project promised open access and community-led development. But that vision hasn’t materialized.

The team now claims they’re working behind the scenes to enable transfers. Still, they’ve offered no roadmap or technical explanation. Without updates, uncertainty lingers. Investors want confirmation that WLFI will function as a real utility token.

Making WLFI transferable could help restore trust. But delays may deepen doubts about the team’s execution. Many early adopters will watch closely to see if this promise finally becomes action.
