Real estate mogul Grant Cardone has announced that CardoneCapital has added approximately 1,000 Bitcoin (BTC) to its balance sheet, becoming the first real estate firm fully integrated with a Bitcoin-focused investment strategy.
In a statement posted on social media, Cardone revealed that the move marks the beginning of a hybrid real estate-Bitcoin model, positioning the company at the intersection of two high-performing asset classes.
A Real Estate Giant Embracing Bitcoin
CardoneCapital currently oversees:
- 14,200 residential units
- 500,000 square feet of Class A office space
According to Cardone, the group plans to acquire an additional 3,000 BTC and 5,000 more real estate units before the year ends. This would significantly bolster both the firm’s property holdings and its BTC reserves, reinforcing its dual-asset approach.
First-of-Its-Kind Strategy
The strategy aims to combine cash-flowing real estate with Bitcoin’s long-term upside, creating a portfolio that Cardone describes as “two best-in-class assets.”
The company’s initiative signals a potential shift in institutional real estate investment, especially as Bitcoin becomes more accepted as a treasury asset alongside traditional income-generating properties.
Broader Implications
CardoneCapital’s BTC move comes as other firms, including MicroStrategy and various ETFs, continue expanding their Bitcoin holdings. However, Cardone’s firm is the first to formally blend large-scale real estate operations with a BTC-centric treasury model, potentially paving the way for more hybrid investment structures in the future.
