Stray Kids Chart Another Top 10 Hit Before Landing An Album Debut

On June 18, Stray Kids released its new EP Hollow. The group’s fifteenth short collection is its fourth Japanese-language set, which means it will likely perform incredibly well on the music charts in Japan in a few days. However, Hollow might not live up to the standards the South Korean boy band has set for itself in America, as the boy band has already collected half a dozen champions on the Billboard 200. Typically, Korean-language studio efforts perform better than Japanese-language ones, even if they come from the same act.

It’s yet to be seen how Hollow will perform on the Billboard rankings – the EP may debut as early as next week – but this frame, its lead single gives Stray Kids yet another smash.

“Hollow” Launches Inside the Top 10

The lead single from the EP, also titled “Hollow,” debuts on the World Digital Song Sales chart in the United States this week. The track opens at No. 7, instantly giving the group another top 10 win in America.

Stray Kids Join Le Sserafim

Stray Kids earn the top debut on the World Digital Song Sales tally this frame, and one of only two new arrivals. Fellow K-pop favorites Le Sserafim launch “Easy” two spaces further down, at No. 9.

Stray Kids Reach 65 Career Smashes

Stray Kids have now collected 39 top 10 smashes on the World Digital Song Sales chart throughout the years. “Hollow” marks the group’s sixty-fifth total placement on the ranking, which now includes just 10 spaces these days, though it was once much longer.

Three Stray Kids Albums Chart

As “Hollow” gets off to a strong start, Stray Kids see three albums land on the Billboard tallies — and the group’s new Japanese EP may join that roundup in a few days. The band’s Hop appears on both the Top Album Sales and World Albums charts, ascending on the former to No. 22 and dipping on the latter to fifth place.

Joining Hop on the World Albums tally are both Ate and 5-Star. The first of those two titles keeps at No. 11, while 5-Star narrowly manages to hold on, landing at No. 24 on the 25-spot roster. All three of those titles have reached No. 1 on every ranking on which they currently appear.
