BTS’s Jin scores a new career high as Echo debuts at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and becomes his … More
In the span of just six months, Jin has made up for lost time and delivered not one, but two solo projects. The BTS singer was the last member of the group to put out collections on his own, but he’s quickly adding to his own catalog, including with his latest short offering. The South Korean musician’s new EP Echo lands on a trio of Billboard rankings in America this week, and it sets new career highs for the singer across the board.
Jin on the Billboard 200
Perhaps most excitingly, Echo opens at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The title arrives behind only Morgan Wallen’s massive I’m the Problem – which scores the largest debut of 2025 – and the seemingly-unstoppable SOS by SZA.
Echo launches with 43,000 equivalent units shifted, according to Luminate. That figure is enough to beat the No. 4 peak of Happy, which dropped in late 2024 and served as Jin’s first solo release and initial top 10 showing under his own name on the Billboard 200.
Jin’s New Bestseller
Echo also brings Jin to a new career high point on the Top Album Sales chart. The BTS star’s latest effort misses out on the throne by just one spot, but nothing was going to beat I’m the Problem by Wallen this time around.
Echo kicks off its run on the all-style sales list with 34,500 pure purchases. That’s about 100,000 fewer than I’m the Problem, but still a healthy opening figure. Happy only climbed to No. 3 when it was brand new and selling at its best.
BTS Star’s First No. 1 Album
Jin also earns his first No. 1 on the World Albums chart. Echo starts in that lofty position, bringing the South Korean superstar to the summit for the first time and beating Happy, which also reached the top three, but which was never able to lead the ranking.
