“I Had Some Help” by Morgan Wallen and Post Malone ties “Last Night” with 54 weeks on the Radio … More
Morgan Wallen’s catalog is filled with some of the biggest hits in country music from the past decade. Amid dozens of charting successes, two singles stand out, as they have proven themselves to be the most popular – which isn’t easy in his list of tracks. One was released several years ago, while the other just recently celebrated its one-year anniversary. The cuts are now tied for a special honor in the singer-songwriter’s discography after they both became radio blockbusters.
“I Had Some Help” Vs. “Last Night”
“I Had Some Help,” Wallen’s collaboration with Post Malone, ties his own record for the most weeks spent on the Radio Songs chart, which he set not long ago with “Last Night.” The two tracks have both managed 54 stays on Billboard’s list of the most successful tunes across all radio formats.
“I Had Some Help” Will Keep Going
While they may be on the same level at the moment, it’s highly likely that “I Had Some Help” will pull ahead in just a matter of days. This week, it climbs two spots to No. 18 on the Radio Songs tally, and it seems unlikely the duet will fall below the No. 50 position before it passes the 54 frames that “Last Night” managed during its initial run.
At this rate, “I Had Some Help” might hold on for months more, becoming not just the greatest success in Wallen’s catalog, but also Malone’s – and it could potentially make history with a lengthy stay on the list.
“I Had Some Help” Vs. “Circles”
“I Had Some Help” has ranked as Malone’s second-longest-charting Radio Songs hit for about a month now, as it hasn’t caught up to “Circles.” That track lived on the ranking for 60 frames, starting in September 2019.
“I Had Some Help” Earned Morgan Wallen His First No. 1
Despite its longevity and incredible popularity, “Last Night” never managed to rule the Radio Songs chart. It peaked at No. 2, which at the time stood as Wallen’s highest placement. “I Had Some Help” earned him his first champion, and it spent five frames atop the tally beginning in July 2024.
“I Had Some Help” is Headed for a Full Year
“I Had Some Help” no longer appears on the Country Airplay tally, but it remains one of the top-performing tracks on one of Billboard’s pop radio lists. This frame, after 49 stays on the Adult Contemporary ranking, it keeps at No. 9, so it seems all but certain that it will reach a full year on the roster very soon.
