Miley Cyrus Misses The Singles Chart With Her New Song

Miley Cyrus will release her new album Something Beautiful in just a few days, on May 30. Several songs from the highly-anticipated project have already been pushed from the pop set, but so far, none have become breakout global successes — not the kind the superstar was likely hoping for.

This week, the latest tune she shared from the full-length, a ballad titled “More to Lose,” arrives on just one U.S.-based Billboard ranking, and not the one Cyrus is used to reaching.

“More to Lose” Misses the Hot 100

“More to Lose” debuts on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 this time around. It launches at No. 5 on the tally, which ranks the most consumed tracks in America that have yet to crack the Hot 100, the main list of the biggest songs in the nation.

Cyrus collects the loftiest debut on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 this week, beating new arrivals from stars like Blackpink singer Rosé, Fuerza Regida, and even the legendary Connie Francis, who is currently going viral with “Pretty Little Baby.”

Miley Cyrus on the Bubbling Under Hot 100

Cyrus has now seen 20 songs peak inside the top 10 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100, which features 25 spaces. Some of those tracks have gone on to reach the main Hot 100, while others were forced to settle for this secondary placement, which serves as a bit of a consolation prize.

The Grammy winner departed the Hot 100 just a few weeks ago, when “End of the World,” the lead single from Something Beautiful, finally fell away. That tune spent just a month on the list and dipped to No. 93 on the chart dated May 10.

“End of the World” and “More to Lose”

At the moment, while Cyrus fills several spots on Billboard’s global rankings, she doesn’t appear on the main songs tallies in the U.S. “End of the World” is still growing at pop radio, but overall consumption seems to have fallen.

As it hits the Bubbling Under Hot 100, “More to Lose” also appears on one of the two worldwide lists published by Billboard. The track enters the Billboard Global 200 at No. 168.
