Joe Jonas Earns His First Hit Apart From His Brothers On One Chart

Joe Jonas first found global success in the music industry as part of the Jonas Brothers, and after several years and a number of smashes and hugely popular albums, the trio went their separate ways. Each sibling tried their hand at solo careers in various fields, with both Joe and Nick sticking with music.

Jonas first launched an album in 2011, Fastlife, but sadly, it was quite the disappointment. He then went on to found a new band named DNCE, and enjoyed a handful of commercial wins.

Now, he’s looking to reach the charts under his own name again. Just ahead of the release of his upcoming sophomore solo album, Music for People Who Believe in Love, Jonas has finally scored a radio win from the project, earning his first smash on a tally he’s never appeared on solo.

Joe Jonas Debuts with “Heart by Heart”

“Heart by Heart” is the latest single taken from Music for People Who Believe in Love. The track was released in late April, and it becomes a radio win in America this frame. The tune debuts at No. 39 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, one of Billboard’s three pop radio rankings. It may come in second-to-last place, but it’s still an important placement for the singer.

Joe Jonas Earns His First Radio Smash

Jonas collects his first solo hit on the Adult Pop Airplay list with “Heart by Heart.” The track is actually only his second solo radio hit on any of the pop lists. Back in 2011, “See No More” climbed to No. 37 on the general Pop Airplay tally and only spent two frames on the list before disappearing.

“Sucker” is the Only No. 1

As a member of the Jonas Brothers, Jonas has racked up 15 wins on the Adult Pop Airplay chart. That includes four top 10s and the nine-week No. 1 “Sucker.”

Jonas Brothers are Rising as Well

Jonas currently claims a pair of spots on the Adult Pop Airplay tally — one solo cut and one with his siblings. The Jonas Brothers rise to No. 22 with “Love Me to Heaven,” the first single from the group’s Greetings from Your Hometown album. That project is coming later this summer, and Jonas is pulling double duty at the moment.

“Love Me to Heaven” is also on the rise on the Pop Airplay tally, where it steps up one space to No. 34 in its seventh frame.
