Space and Time Foundation Launches to Drive ZK Data Innovation and Ecosystem Growth

Without compromising the fundamental principals of crypto—decentralization, transparency, and security—decentralized apps need to be just as advanced as their conventional counterparts. However, onchain applications will always be constrained if there is no effective method for storing, querying, and computing over blockchain data. A database that can support sophisticated applications while maintaining decentralization is essential to the future of cryptocurrency. The genesis of Space and Time was the solution to this issue.

Building Space and Time with our amazing community has been an exciting experience, and we are thankful for your continued support. We are thrilled to present the Space and Time Foundation as Space and Time moves closer to new significant milestones. The Foundation aims to enable developers to create the next generation of crypto apps using zero-knowledge (ZK)-proven data by funding research, ecosystem expansion, and community-driven innovation.

Concerning the Foundation for Space and Time

In order to shift fundamental duties from a standard company structure to an independent steward who would drive the growth of the Space and Time ecosystem, the Space and Time Foundation was established. This is a natural and important stage in the evolution of Space and Time.

The Foundation was created in late 2024 with the goal of assisting and directing the Space and Time network’s long-term growth, uptake, and decentralization. These fundamental goals form the basis of its mission:

• With proactive cooperation and coordination with developers, researchers, node operators, and other important stakeholders, you can guarantee the sustainability and continuity of the network.
• Encourage the research, development, and broad adoption of Space and Time and the technologies that underpin it.
• Create strong legal, technological, and operational frameworks in many countries to aid in the expansion of ecosystems.

The Foundation is essential in enabling the larger community to become more involved in determining the network’s future as it grows and its governance becomes more established.

Its mission is to make sure that a worldwide community of builders, operators, evangelists, and innovators oversees the core technology created by Space and Time Labs, which is now MakeInfinite Labs, in order to realize its full potential.

The Role of MakeInfinite Labs

MakeInfinite Labs is the new name for Space and Time Labs, the original developer of Space and Time. Since its founding, this group of engineers, researchers, and industry leaders have:

• Invented the first sub-second ZK coprocessor for SQL (Proof of SQL).
• Architected and deployed a sophisticated, effective database that provides smart contracts with verifiable query computation.
• Developed the fundamental framework for the blockchain for ZK-proven data, Space and Time.
• Built a thriving international community of developers, evangelists, and developers.

With an expanded dedication to empowering, supporting, and influencing the long-term development of the Space and Time ecosystem, the Foundation is now carrying on this heritage. With an emphasis on ZK research, corporate integrations, and application-layer innovation, MakeInfinite Labs will continue to contribute to Space and Time under the direction of CEO Nate Holiday.

The Foundation’s leadership

A number of important team members from MakeInfinite Labs will take up positions at the Foundation to guarantee leadership and vision continuity:

Scott Dykstra – Contributor #001, Engineering Leadership: Since the beginning, Scott has spearheaded the technological vision for Space and Time Labs, which he co-founded. As Contributor #001, Scott will handle developer relations, engineering, and research while carrying on Labs’ legacy inside the Foundation.

Catherine Daly – Chief Marketing Officer, Ecosystem Growth: For more than three years, Catherine oversaw marketing for Space and Time Labs, which helped the Gigabrains community grow from zero to one. She will continue to supervise these initiatives and expedite the Foundation’s involvement in growing the ecosystem in her capacity as CMO.

Furthermore, a distinct Board of Directors oversees the Space and Time Foundation from MakeInfinite Labs. With a mission to maintain a legitimately neutral stance and foster ecosystem development, this board is in charge of the Foundation’s and Treasury operations’ strategic direction.

Opportunities for community members to participate will be provided shortly, along with more leadership and contributor positions.

Upcoming Space and Time Launch and Ecosystem Initiatives

Accelerating the adoption of ZK-proven data is a priority for the Foundation. ZK proofs, in our opinion, will shape computing in the future and drive the next wave of blockchain, AI, and business applications. The Foundation will finance, advise, and support developers creating protocols and applications that propel the onchain ecosystem’s uptake and development in order to fulfill this mission. Key initiatives will include:

• Establishing a community of researchers, developers, and users of Space and Time via community initiatives, education, hackathons, and rewards.
• Directing the network’s ongoing growth and promoting research, both of which are essential to assisting the network in achieving its goal.
• Establishing the framework for transparent governance that will progressively transfer decision-making authority to the community as the ecosystem develops.

Our objective is to make the Space and Time ecosystem simpler to scale, govern, and build.
