Bruce Springsteen earns his highest rankings ever on several U.K. charts with Encore at the Garden, … More
Bruce Springsteen is back on the charts in the United Kingdom, and he’s not alone. Just a week after the music legend earned a modest sales hit across the pond with “Rain in the River,” he returns with a new collaboration that outperforms its predecessor. The track may not be a traditional single, but it qualifies as such in the U.K., and thanks to that classification, Springsteen reaches new career highs on several tallies.
“Encore at the Garden” is a Quick Sales Smash
Springsteen’s latest charting success is Encore at the Garden, a short release created in tandem with The Killers. The project is being counted as a single in the U.K., even though it is really more of an EP.
Encore at the Garden debuts at No. 3 on three different tallies: the Official Singles Sales, Official Physical Singles chart, and Official Vinyl Singles charts. The collection opens as one of the top-selling “tracks” in the nation, even though the project features several tunes.
Bruce Springsteen Charts His First Top 10
Encore at the Garden marks a very special milestone for Springsteen. The release gives the legendary rocker his first top 10 hit on the Official Singles Sales chart. Before this week, the highest he’d climbed on that list came in 2022, when “Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)” peaked at No. 20.
Only two other tracks from Springsteen have entered the top 40 on the Official Singles Sales chart. “Hello Sunshine” reached No. 32, while “Ghosts” landed one rung lower at No. 33.
Encore at the Garden Earns Bruce Springsteen a New Peak
On the Official Vinyl Singles chart, Encore at the Garden also earns Springsteen a new personal best. The release lands at No. 3, marking his loftiest placement to date. It’s not his first time entering the top 10 on that wax-specific ranking, but the project is now his highest-charting effort.
Springsteen previously broke into the top 10 with “Western Stars,” which galloped to No. 5, giving him an early win on the format. His beloved rendition of “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town” also reached the list, but so far, it has only made it as high as No. 11.
Bruce Springsteen and The Killers Teamed Up
Encore at the Garden was a Record Store Day special, and it’s one of the top performers from the music industry initiative. The short live release arrived to coincide with the 2025 edition of the annual event. It features three tracks performed live by Springsteen and The Killers at a Madison Square Garden concert back in October 2022.
The set includes performances of “Badlands,” “Dustland,” and “Born to Run,” but until now, fans only had memories and online footage. Until Record Store Day 2025, the guest appearance had never been released commercially, which made this offering that much more thrilling for superfans of both The Killers and Springsteen.
