Former UFC Champion Reveals His Diss Track Targeted Dana White

It’s no secret, UFC President Dana White and former champion Tyron Woodley have had their issues in the past. The two men have both said a few negative things about the other, but Woodley recently appeared on the Vs. Us podcast and confirmed he once wrote a diss track about White.

The song I’ll Beat Yo A## was written about White.

Woodley says he was upset with the UFC and White for staging an interim welterweight title fight between Rafael dos Anjos and Colby Covington while he was still champion. The UFC wanted Woodley to fight RDA, but Woodley had a torn labrum and he elected to get the surgery rather than fighting the Brazilian legend.

Woodley didn’t feel confident he could beat RDA if he wasn’t 100 percent. But he felt pressured and as if White and the organization tried to make him “look stupid.”

“That’s why I made that song, I’ll Beat Yo A##,” Woodley admitted. “If you listen to the lyrics, it was for Dana White. But I couldn’t say that I wanna beat Dana White’s a##, but I wanted to bad. Because he made me look stupid. Why you gonna sit here and act like that. Bisping and Florian was both laughing. ‘Haha’ I’ll beat both of your ass.”

Here is a look at the entire episode. As usual, Woodley is candid and open as he discusses his time with the UFC.

In case you’re wondering about the song and the lyrics, here’s a censored breakdown of Woodley’s verse and a link to the video that also contains some pretty spectacular his highlights.

Take a look, in case you forgot how good he was in his prime.

“I’ll beat yo a## in real life

Beat yo a## on TV

N#### I’ll beat yo a## on some beef s###

beat yo a## on GP

Pull up on that sneak tip

N##### run when they see me

Now your eyes f###### popping out.

You seeing s### in 3D

Beat your head to the white meat

Knock out all your white teeth

Worn fruit punch on your shirt for N##### thinking that I’m sweet

Paws loaded with concrete

Fingertips with NyQuil

Quick to put a N##### right to sleep…

If he lookin like he might squeal

Hands-on deck H.O.D.,

When I’m in this octagon I’m G-O-D…

Get that a## beat live on TV

N#### laying flat, it won’t be me”

When you consider this entire verse was about White, that’s pretty hilarious. While Woodley still has bad memories of his time dealing with White, he does seem to be in a better place with things than he has been before.

Woodley’s UFC career ended on a sour note. He lost his last four fights and also dropped a pair of boxing matches to Jake Paul. The last defeat came via vicious one-punch KO.

Woodley’s next chapter is said to be with the Global Fight League. He was the No. 1 overall pick for the controversial and seemingly ill-fated mixed martial arts promotion. The GFL made headlines earlier this year as it announced a roster packed with aging former UFC champions, Hall-of-Famers, and future HOFers.

Woodley was supposed to be one of the biggest headliners, but many are questioning if the GFL will ever get off the ground. The organization was supposed to have its first two events in May, but they were canceled when the promotion didn’t get the necessary funding.

Woodley belongs to the Dubai team, and we’ll have to wait and see if his team’s fights will be rescheduled. No matter what happens in the GFL and the beef that Woodley and White had in the past, the former champion deserves to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

During his prime, he was the best welterweight in the world. He won the title and defended it four times. During his career, Woodley earned victories over Josh Koscheck, Carlos Condit, Kelvin Gastelum, Robbie Lawler, Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson, Demian Maia, and Darren Till.

That’s an excellent résumé and proof that the title of Woodley’s diss track carries some serious validity.
