- The stablecoin market cap reaches $224B, up 10% in 2025.
- Real-World Assets (RWAs) surpass $17B, marking a 17% rise.
- Tokenized private credit dominates the RWA sector with $11.9B in value.
While the crypto market is down 13%, stablecoins and real-world assets have reached record highs.
The market value of stablecoins and RWAs is now $227 billion and $17 billion. This marks a surge of 10% and 17%, going through 2025.
Stablecoins were built to tame crypto volatility- now they are beating legacy financial networks. In 2024, stablecoin transactions hit a staggering $27.6 trillion, surpassing both Visa and Mastercard. This shows how important they are becoming in global payments, onchain liquidity, and decentralized finance (DeFi).

Also, the stablecoin supply has jumped over 59%, passing $200 billion. It now makes up 1% of the U.S. dollar supply. But even though they are becoming more important, most stablecoins don’t offer any yield for holders.

Untapped $10 Billion Yield Opportunity in Stablecoin DeFi
As per market estimates, if stablecoins paid even a small 5% yield, DeFi users could earn over $10 billion in passive income. This income is currently not being used. This would make stablecoins more attractive for both regular and large investors.
In regulatory circles, stablecoins have gained speed. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed they help keep the dollar strong. At the same time, David Sacks, the new Crypto Czar under Trump, said there are plans for clear rules for stablecoins within six months. All of these things could speed up stablecoin adoption.
RWAs Surge 50x by 2030, Entry of TradFi Giants
Similarly, the Real-World Assets (RWA) sector keeps growing rapidly. Onchain RWAs have now gone past $17 billion. Tokenized private credit is the largest part, at $11.9 billion, nearly 69% of the total market.
Tokenized U.S. treasury debt has also become more popular, reaching $3.5 billion. Experts predict that RWAs will grow 50x by 2030, possibly reaching $30 trillion in value. High yields could act as fuel for this growth, with private credit averaging a 10% annual rate.
