Animoca Brands’ flagship project, Moca Network, in collaboration with SK Planet, a leading Data & Tech company in South Korea has announced the launch of a Web3-based premium membership program, OKI Club.

While the launch of the OKI Club aims to integrate Web3 technology into SK Planet’s OK Cashbag app, the program is supported by Moca Network’s AIR Kit SDK (software development kit). As such, the move marks the first large-scale enterprise use of AIR Kit for Web3 onboarding.

Kenneth Shek, the project lead of Moca Network, emphasized this saying;

“The launch of OKI Club is a major milestone for Moca Network’s AIR Kit, marking its integration into one of the leading Web2 consumer platforms in Asia and bringing global account and interoperable digital identity to a broad retail audience. This partnership blurs the line between Web2 and Web3 by having AIR Kit natively integrated with the consumer app with millions of users and its existing internet services, and we are excited to expand together with SK Planet’s consumer ecosystem.”

OKI Club Sets to Boost Web3 Adoption in South Korea

Following its design, OKI Club will bring blockchain functionality and interoperable digital identity to the SK Planet platform by enabling retail users to access Web3 services natively within a Web2 app. As such, South Korea’s most widely used consumer platforms have joined the blockchain bandwagon.

The development offers SK Planet users the opportunity to join OKI Club and earn rewards by signing up for an AIR account within their OK Cashbag app. With OKI Club, retail consumers in South Korea now have access to an engaging and rewarding path to leveraging the Web3 technology. Thus, consumers can maximize their Web3 exposure to experiences and rewards via a single login entry point.

Per the announcement, OK Cashbag users who sign up for an AIR account will receive OCB Points and MOCA Coin for their participation in OKI Club.

Furthermore, users will unlock additional in-app benefits within OK Cashbag by accruing identity and reputation data from their AIR accounts. They would also enjoy cross-ecosystem benefits from the broader Moca Network.

Notably, this partnership between Moca Network and SK Planet, which invented OKI Club, is targeted at fostering widespread Web3 adoption on one of South Korea’s most popular consumer platforms.

Also, the collaboration will help expand MOCA Coin’s utility across gaming, intellectual property (IP), sports, and entertainment as SK Planet leverages Web3 to enhance consumer engagement strategies.

Kyosu Kim, the CBO at SK Planet, also commented on the development, saying;

“OKI Club is a free membership service designed to maximize customer benefits across everyday lifestyle brands. Through strategic partnerships with Web3 companies like Moca Network, we will continue to discover new benefits and develop innovative programs, ensuring OKI Club becomes the No.1 membership program that satisfies both our partners and customers.”
