$LIBRA’s Hayden Davies Denies Bribing Javier Milei

Hayden Davis, co-founder of the fallen cryptocurrency $LIBRA, has firmly denied allegations of bribing Argentine President Javier Milei. In a statement released today, Davis rejected claims that he made any payments to the president, calling media reports “politically motivated.”

Hayden Davis Denies Bribing For $LIBRA Promotion

The controversy took a dramatic turn after text messages allegedly from Davis surfaced on Crypto Twitter, in which he reportedly boasted about bribing Karina Milei, the president’s sister, to influence her brother’s decision-making. In the messages, Davis allegedly said, “I gave money to his sister, and he signed according to my wishes and acted according to my requirements.”

Karina Milei, who serves as Secretary General of the Argentine Presidential Palace, has yet to comment, and Davis himself has not elaborated further on the allegations. However, local media outlet La Nación reported that Davis has been in contact with Milei’s team to manage the growing scandal. According to the report, Milei promised not to accuse Davis of any wrongdoing and plans to send an envoy to meet with Davis later this week. Additionally, Milei’s team has requested that Davis refrain from giving any more interviews.

$LIBRA Rug pull Controversy

The $LIBRA controversy has become one of the most talked-about scandals in the cryptocurrency industry. The coin has lost over 96% of its value from its peak, and blockchain analytics firms have revealed that around 74,000 traders collectively lost $286 million in the crash.

Beyond the financial repercussions, the collapse has led to the resignation of Meteora’s co-founder, Ben Chow, and has triggered fraud charges against Javier Milei. In response to the allegations that he had promoted $LIBRA, Milei defended his actions yesterday, claiming he was merely sharing information and had acted in good faith. “I didn’t promote it, I shared it,” Milei stated. “I acted in good faith and took a hit.”
