IOTA EVM Expands with Lukka Integration, Offering Clear and Compliant Data Insights

  • IOTA teams up with Lukka to deliver accurate, compliant data insights for its ecosystem.
  • Fair Market Value (FMV) reporting reshapes how businesses evaluate and report crypto holdings.

The IOTA Foundation has recently partnered with Lukka, a provider of blockchain analytics and compliance tools. Through this partnership, Lukka is positioned as the sole supplier of compliance-related solutions within the IOTA ecosystem. This reflects the foundation’s commitment to giving its users a safe and transparent environment.

Exchanges, institutions, and regulators interacting with IOTA’s Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) will be able to access customized data solutions through the Lukkas platform. Moreover, these tools include risk assessments, monitoring features, and forensic tracking across blockchain operations to meet the increasing demand for transparent and trustworthy analytics.

Co-Founder of IOTA, Dominik Schiener, said in the press release:

Ensuring compliance and transparency in the blockchain industry is crucial for IOTA’s mission of driving enterprise adoption. By partnering with Lukka, we gain access to one of the most comprehensive blockchain analytics platforms, helping us enhance risk monitoring, regulatory reporting, and security across our ecosystem.

Moreover, Patrick Corker from Lukka underlined the significance of providing scalable compliance tools for blockchain networks. As the industry grows, platforms like IOTA are expected to align with stricter compliance measures, and Lukka’s tools are set to facilitate that process.

Lukka Partnership Aligns with IOTA’s Transparency Goals

The partnership with Lukka is in line with IOTA’s efforts to increase financial transparency, which are demonstrated by its focus on Fair Market Value (FMV) reporting. A workable answer to the problems associated with digital asset valuation in financial statements is FMV reporting.

An impairment model was traditionally used to report crypto assets. This model only permitted losses to be recorded when asset prices fell, leaving gains unrealized unless the assets were sold. Because it did not accurately reflect market conditions, this method frequently resulted in financial reports being undervalued.

By including real-time market valuations, FMV reporting modifies this and provides a more impartial depiction of a business’s financial situation. A good example is MicroStrategy’s recent implementation of FMV reporting.

The business started applying this model to value its Bitcoin holdings on January 1, 2025. Retained earnings increased by $12. 75 billion, as a result of this change indicating a substantial financial adjustment and underscoring the possible significance of precise valuation techniques.

Lukka’s Role in Simplifying FMV Reporting

However, implementing FMV Reporting requires reliable pricing data, which is difficult to source without prior effort. Lukka has the tools businesses need to comply with GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting standards.

Additionally, Lukka has a suite of products that include Lukka Prime Pricing for real-time valuations, enterprise software for digital asset data reconciliation, asset reference rates for auditing, and historical and real-time analyses from Lukka Insights.

Such tools help businesses claim their crypto assets with the ease that comes from knowing the assets are accurately loaded into a client’s financial system. Nevertheless, with the demand for FMV reporting increasing, Lukka aims to rapidly assist companies in meeting all their financial reporting requirements.
