Crypto Ads Absent from Super Bowl LIX, AI To Take Over

The Super Bowl LIX have now come and gone and so have the ad slots that companies die for. Interestingly, the crypto industry stayed away from these ads this year. In contrast, the 2022 Super Bowl saw a significant presence of crypto advertisements. However, it appears that the crypto industry is moving away from this trend.

A Shift from Crypto to AI

According to Eleanor Terrett, a Fox journalist, crypto ads were noticeably absent from this year’s Super Bowl. Instead, AI-related commercials dominated the airwaves. The advertising slots for Super Bowl LIX were sold out in November, with no-crypto related ads making the cut as per the source.

Last year, ETF-focused ads were unable to secure the slots due to delayed approvals. Despite speculation about a potential comeback of ETF-related ads this year, Terrett confirmed via X that no crypto or ETF companies managed to secure a Super Bowl as. She emphasized ” Just a lot of AI.”

AI Companies Takes Over The Spotlight During Super Bowl LIX

While the crypto community is stepping back, AI companies have taken a full control of the situation. The companies got hold of the available slots which just indicates the rapid growth and increasing influence of the AI across industries. Major tech firms including Google, ChatGPT, and Open AI made money on the opportunity of reaching million of viewers during the biggest television event of the year.

Even though there had been a boom previously, the crypto industry has faced regulatory hurdles and volatility which has caused the firms to cut back on the advertising costs. The shift from crypto to AI ads may also indicate the evolving priorities of the tech world.
