FTX Creditors Face Issues With Claims Portals Despite Correct Filings

The FTX repayment saga continues as number of FTX creditors have now reported issues with the FTX Claims Portal. There 5th step of the entire process seems to be troublesome for the creditors. Despite having agreed claims correctly filed and verified on Kroll, many of the users still see “Needs Attention” status for this particular step and this has led to a huge amount of confusion and chaos within the community.

FTX Creditor Sunil Kavuri Highlights The Issue

FTX creditor Sunil Kavuri highlighted this issue on X, stating that many of the creditors have directly messaged him about their claims showing discrepancies within the portal. “Even with claim agreed and validated, Step 5 flags them as needing attention. This raises unnecessary stress for creditors,” Sunil posted.

The “Needs Attention” status is typically applied to claims that are unliquidated or disputed. However, the creditors have confirmed that their claims do not fall in any of the categories. This inconsistency suggests a potential technical glitch or communication gap within the claims processing system.

Creditors Seek Clarity

Customer should and are urged to check their claims and its statuses once again on Kroll portal and file additional proof of claims if necessary. Since the deadline for the submission of claims has already passed, clarity from the exchange is crucial at the moment as it would prevent unnecessary delays in the repayment process and would provide clarity to the creditors.

No official statement has been issued by FTX or its team regarding this matter. Creditors seek immediate clarity and are requesting the FTT and its team to come forward and clarify if the “Needs Attention” status requires any corrective action from the creditor’s side.
