MicroStrategy Holds Strong Belief in Bitcoin Despite Volatility

Investors and analysts take note of MicroStrategy’s large Bitcoin holdings. A number of people are paying close attention to how the company’s Bitcoin investments play out over time. One of the most volatile currencies known today is Bitcoin, its value normally increases or decreases very fast. These fluctuations, however, are not putting MicroStrategy off as the company owns a large stake in Bitcoin in its belief for future growth.

Michael Saylor, the founder of MicroStrategy, has also recently made a bold suggestion beyond its Bitcoin investments. He urged the U.S. government to sell the gold it owns and invest in Bitcoin instead. Saylor suggested that the U.S. hold 20%–25% of the total Bitcoin supply. He thinks the U.S. dollar would become even stronger as the global reserve currency.

The company’s ongoing investments in Bitcoin are based on MicroStrategy’s strong belief in the cryptocurrency’s future. With the fluctuations of Bitcoin’s price, the company is set on keeping a lot of Bitcoin. As a result, MicroStrategy now becomes one of the largest Bitcoin holders in the world. In the coming years, all eyes will be on how these investments perform as the market evolves.
