Top Crypto Exchange Integrates Shibarium into Web3 Wallet

• Bitget Wallet now backs Shibarium to connect 40 million users.
• Despite publicized milestones, Shibarium is yet to gain integration on top Web3 exchanges and wallets.

Bitget, one of the world’s leading crypto exchanges, recently expanded functionality for Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 platform, Shibarium. Specifically, Bitget integrated the protocol into its Web3 wallet, expanding the blockchain’s reach to over 40 million users.  

Shibarium Debut on Bitget Wallet

The Shibarium Updates account on X caught the community’s attention due to the recent development. “Great news for the #BoneArmy and #SHIBARMY,” the announcement read, highlighting that Shibarium has now been integrated into the Bitget Wallet. 

However, the channel clarified that the blockchain is live on Bitget Wallet and still needs to be added to the exchange. To back up its claim, a screenshot of the Bitget Wallet and Shibarium logos was attached to the post. 

This integration marks a remarkable feat for Bitget Wallet and the L2 blockchain. Bitget Wallet users can now engage with Shibarium, storing, transferring, swapping, and staking assets within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. 

Bitget introduced its Web3 Wallet in 2018. It is a non-custodial wallet that allows crypto users to trade, store, swap, earn, and stake assets. Fueled by its mission to simplify Web3 access for the next billion users, Bitget Wallet now boasts over 40 million users across 168 countries.

A CNF report revealed that the platform achieved a key milestone in August, becoming the most downloaded Web3 wallet. Subsequently, Bitget Wallet introduced Refer2Earn, a long-term incentive program that rewards users’ contributions to the platform’s growth. This referral program has helped increase user participation and attracted more customers to join the platform.

Shibarium could benefit from the expansive user base of the Bitget Wallet, which could increase network activity. Meanwhile, the integration only came a few days after the protocol achieved two important milestones. CNF reported that the network has surpassed 2 million wallets, with its total transaction count surging above 627 million. 

Staggered Integration Across Exchanges 

Shibarium’s latest achievement highlights its soaring user adoption. The scaling solution has played an important role in broadening the utility and influence of the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Many attribute Shibarium’s expansion to strategic partnerships and technology advancements within its ecosystem. 

The Shibarium team recently announced a hard fork upgrade to improve transaction speed, scalability, and network efficiency. 

Surprisingly, despite its publicized performance, partnerships, and upgrades, only a few top wallets and exchanges have integrated with Shibarium. Gate.io and BluBit are among the top exchanges that integrate L2 into their platforms.  

Web3 wallets like Frontier and GroveX also support the Layer-2 scaling solution. MetaMask users can connect to Shibarium via the wallet’s Chainlist feature. 

Meanwhile, members of the SHIB Army have continued to urge prominent crypto platforms, including Binance, Coinbase, and Ledger, to support Shibarium.
