Uniswap v4 Bug Bounty Program Launched With $15.5 Million in Rewards

The Uniswap v4 bug bounty program represents the largest bounty program the platform has ever set up, offering significant rewards for the discovery of vulnerabilities within the core contracts of the platform.

The program is designed in a tiered reward structure based on the severity of the vulnerabilities uncovered. White hat hackers can make as much as $15.5 million in bounties for “critical” bugs, with second-tier awards at $1 million for “high risk” issues and $100,000 for “medium risk” bugs, Fortune reported. All reports need to be made within 24 hours of the time of discovery and must be kept confidential until the issue is fixed.

Uniswap Strengthens Protocol Security with Ongoing Bug Bounty Efforts

While the program specifically targets the Uniswap v4 core contracts, it excludes peripheral contracts, third-party contracts, and issues already identified in previous audits. Uniswap Labs confirmed that peripheral contracts will be added to the bounty program in the future.

The launch of the Uniswap v4 bug bounty program follows rigorous security measures for the platform, considering that it concluded nine independent audits, one of them a security competition worth $2.35 million. No serious vulnerabilities were found, but the company would do more to secure its protocol, handling billions of dollars daily in transaction volumes.
