Solana Phantom Wallet Faces “Uptime Incident,” Here’s What To Know

Solana Phantom Wallet is down again. In an update shared by the protocol on its official X account to reveal that the it is experiencing an “uptime incident.” The Solana-based wallet said some of its services may be temporarily suspended at the moment.

Phantom Wallet Downtime – What To Do Next

Phantom is one of the dominant non-custodial wallet services provider on the Solana network. As the team revealed to the community, it is working on the resolving the services as soon as possible.

Users are advised to ignore simulation errors when they are trying to make an urgent transaction. Users can also try using a DApp i  order to stand a higher chance of avoiding disruptions.

The broader Solana ecosystem is known for its constant outages. While it quickly gained fame for its speed and scalability, the early onset of the memecoin explosion in the Solana ecosystem came with significant strain. With massive traffic from memecoin farmers, the protocol recorded intermittent outages .

Phantom Network comes off as the most hit of the DApps on Solana. Over the past year, Phantom Wallet has recorded at least two downtimes, exposing its vulnerability. Each time, the damages done to the broader ecosystem is often minimal as the app generally comes back up in a few hours.

Is SOL Outage Coming Back?

Notably, the Phantom Wallet outage is re-igniting the selloff scare in the Solana ecoystem. While Anatoly Yakovenko-led team claims it released a major fix in March, it is obvious the issues persist in some DApps. With a comprehensive troubleshooting expected in the coming weeks, a lasting solution is expected overall.
