Visa (V) closed at $287.52 on Wednesday, 2.95% higher on the day.
Visa’s stock price has increased 10.44% so far this year, less than the 14.30% advance registered by the overall Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) index.
On Wednesday, the DJIA rose 0.79% to close at 43,077.70 points. The three leaders were Cisco (CSCO), UnitedHealth (UNH) and Visa (V), while the three laggards were Intel (INTC), Amgen (AMGN) and Merck (MRK).
Back to Visa, its latest earnings report from fiscal Q3 showed that earnings per share (EPS) were at $2.42. Revenue, meanwhile, stood at $8.90 billion.
The next earnings report for Visa will be published on October 29.
Analysts expect Visa’s earnings per share to come in at $2.58 for Q4, while revenue is seen at $9.49 billion.
