Contrary to the rumor, it has been now discovered that the artificial intelligence (AI) robot called Truth Terminal funded by a16z did not launch the Meme token GOAT, but it participated in the promotion.
Rumors were floating around that the new Meme token called Goatseus Maximus (GOAT) was launched by AI bot Truth Terminal funded by Andreesen Horrowitz, this led to its market value pumping to $150 million in less than four days.
Andy Ayrey, the creator of the robot, cleared the air about Truth Terminal’s role and said in a post that the AI bot was not ‘directly responsible for the launch of the GOAT token, but it was involved in the promotion of GOAT’.

Airey added that Truth Terminal is not a crypto project, but a “study of the tail risks of unsupervised unlimited creativity in the era of meme contagion and [large language models].”
Initial reports had it that Truth Terminal is a semi-autonomous AI bot that consists of a “fine-tuning” of Meta’s Llama 3.1 large language model, which was originally developed to “automatically jailbreak other LLMs to make them say something naughty.”
Back in July, A16z founder Marc Andreessen, had sent $50,000 worth of Bitcoin and deposited the Bitcoin into the robot’s wallet as a fund to support the project.
