Sonic SVM Launches HyperFuse Node Sale:

  • Sonic SVM is democratizing access to its nodes via public listing.
  • The protocol wants node operators to gain early access to its innovative token and infrastructure.

Sonic SVM, Solana’s Layer-2 solution built specifically for decentralized gaming, has launched its HyperFuse Node sales. These node sales represent a unique opportunity for investors to position themselves at the forefront of Solana ecosystem growth.

The HyperFuse Node is set to supercharge the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), allowing early investors to acquire Sonic tokens.

Key Highlights of the HyperFuse Node Sale

According to a press release, Sonic SVM plans to sell as much as $12.8 million of HyperFuse nodes in its HyperGrid. The nodes can be configured to run on laptops or cloud servers.

The team noted that the sales, representing the first of its kind in the Solana ecosystem, will include 50,000 “Hyperfuse nodes” in 20 pricing tiers. This allows individual investors to acquire Sonic tokens at a valuation lower than that offered to top venture capital firms during Sonic’s recent $12 million Series A funding.

Node purchasers will be the first beneficiaries of the growing SVM ecosystem, which includes its user base of over 2 million wallets and 1.5 billion on-chain transactions. Operators may leverage the Solana gaming market, as Sonic SVM already hosts over ten high-quality games alongside partnerships with over 40 prominent game studios.

They will also qualify for token rewards while contributing to HyperGrid network security. Chris Zhu, the CEO and co-founder of Sonic SVM, disclosed in an interview that the proceeds of the sales will be used for general purposes like team support and grants.

Another offer is an instant cashback and additional mining pool benefits for node purchasers. Although not officially verified, future airdrops for node purchasers are possible.

Progress in the HyperFuse Node Sale

As highlighted in the press release, the sale is configured in three stages: HyperFuse node raffle, HyperFuse node whitelist, and the HyperFuse Public sale.

HyperFuse Tier 1 Node Raffle, the cheapest tier priced at $155, commenced on September 16. Within 1 hour of launching, sales hit 645% oversubscription, reaching $3 million, according to an official X post from Sonic SVM.

The oversubscription called for a minor overhaul to match the growing interest. Sonic quickly made some adjustments and delayed the whitelist sale phase to September 19. This phase, which is currently ongoing, will see Whitelisted codes distributed to Sonic community members and partners.

Due to the recent setback, the public sale previously scheduled to commence on September 18 will now hold on September 20, 02:00 PM

Meanwhile, Node sales are gaining popularity as a tool for blockchain initiatives to acquire revenue while decentralizing their networks. Aethir, a decentralized GPU cloud infrastructure leader, disclosed its intention to raise funds via node sales in February. As mentioned in our report, 100,000 nodes were made available in a tiered pricing system via public sale on Arbitrum.

In June, CARV, a leading modular data layer for gaming and AI, also used the node sales strategy to raise cash.
