Ride-hailing platform TADA has collaborated with The Open Network (TON) Foundation to introduce a new mini app on Telegram known as TADA Mini. The new mini-app allows Web3 users to book rides from Telegram without any need for additional sign-in.
According to the two parties, users can make their bookings direct from Telegram without the need to install another app on their devices, and facilitating payments using Toncoin, or USDT on the Ton blockchain.
TON Foundation and TADA to host thousands of complimentary rides
The two organizations revealed they are planning to host 4,000 complimentary rides during the TOKEN2049 crypto conference scheduled for September 14 to September 18 in Singapore.
According to the two companies, after the 4,000 free rides have been claimed, users will also get 50% discounts on their fares for TON trip via the TADA app.
Head of Korea at TON Foundation, Harvey Kim underscored the importance of collaborations for the successful adoption of web3.
“If we want to accelerate the successful adoption of web3 solutions, it’s crucial that strong partnerships are forged with exciting web2 platforms that enable their users to quickly become familiar with the many benefits of web3,” said Kim.
“This partnership is a key milestone for us, as we look to continue TON blockchain’s growth across Southeast Asia,” added Kim.
TON is a next-generation blockchain platform for speed and scalability, allowing millions of transactions effectively.
Now, collaboration with TADA has been viewed as a strategic move to expand the implementation of Web3 tech in real-life use cases, such as ride-hailing services.
TADA mini to expand to other regions
TADA was formed in 2018 and has been preferred because of its no-commission policy. Currently, TADA operates in Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. There are however plans to spread across the region and beyond. According to the two organizations, TADA is expected to expand to Hong Kong by end if this year.
“At TADA, we’ve always focused on innovations that benefit both riders and drivers. TADA mini not only simplifies ride-hailing but also prepares for the future by enabling the use of digital assets in real-world applications,” said James Yang, CIO of MVL, TADA’s parent company.
“Looking ahead, TADA mini plans to expand into new regions, aiming to provide this service to a wider audience.”

Telegram mini apps are web-based applications, that can be embedded as well as accessed within the messaging platform.
Over the past months, the messaging platform has expanded its crypto footprint with millions of gamers using it to play some tap-to-earn games like Hamster Kombat, Notcoin, and Yescoin, expecting to earn some corresponding tokens on TON blockchain.
