Nowadays, even the company CEO and bigger personalities are becoming the new victims. One such case has shocked the netizens as the popular crypto platform Revelo Intel’s CEO Nick Drakon has been held at gunpoint, stealing the company capital, side ventures money, retained earnings, and even the CEO’s funds. Per Nick’s disclosure, the robbers were especially interested in the crypto funds and were related to the Revelo venture, as they knew what crypto wallets Nick handled. With this incident, Revelo Intel’s CEO resigned from the company and is helping the local police in the investigation

Nick Drakon Resigns From Revelo Intel’s CEO Position

Nick Drakon founded Revelo Intel, a research and education platform, in Sept 2022. He has been the active CEO ever since before stepping down due to the crypto crime. Nick has personally informed the platform users of this incident through an X post. He shared how he has been part of the industry for four years and had 99.5% good experience until now. Nick met many great people and built a community in these years but is shocked by the rising bad actors. He explained this rise causing scams, frauds, and robberies, including the one that robbed him at gunpoint.

Still, three months away from the year’s end, the industry has witnessed crypto hacks rising tremendously with $1.2 Billion lost already. It has become a concerning topic, as investors fear losing their hard-earned money.

Nick Drakon revealed that his wife and 8-month-old were threatened, making him transfer his personal funds, company, and investors’ money. However, most of the funds were his own, and he blamed himself for making many mistakes in the business operations. He revealed that he became the target due to these mistakes and has now stepped down from the position to own those mistakes and will now focus on his family’s safety.

Vu Benson Steps Up As New CEO Plus Recovery Plan In Process

Nick is now working with the local police department to aid in the fund’s recovery. Moreover, he promised to prioritize returning the user’s money at the earliest. He and the new CEO have allocated 30% of the company’s profits to the affected members.

For the better, the former Chief Operating Officer, Vu Benson, has now become the new Revel Intel CEO. Despite the incident, Vu Benson has supported Nick and asked the netizens to do the same in an X post.

In recent Revelo Intel’s CEO Nick Drakon and his family were threatened and robbed at gunpoint to steal company funds. Moreover, in another crypto crime, a former Kansas bank CEO was sentenced to 24 years in prison after embezzling money and losing it in the pig butchering scams. However, this is not the end, as many similar cases are noted every other day, where more than $1.2 Billion is already lost in crypto hacks.
