Privacy-focused Nillion Network Integrates with Arbitrum

Nillion network has announced its integration with Arbitrum, offering decentralized and private data to the ecosystem.

This move is set to bring Nillion’s enhanced privacy and security features to Arbitrum in order to improve the transfer and storage of sensitive and high-value data. As the largest Ethereum Layer 2 network with over $15 billion in total value locked (TVL), Arbitrum can bridge the gap between Nillion’s privacy and Ethereum’s value and security.

The protocol touts itself as “Humanity’s first blind computer” and allows developers to build high-value and secure blind applications. Blind applications unlock use cases such as secure messaging, private voting, and blind auctions to be integrated onchain and in pre-existing dApps.

Nillion is being developed under the premise that private computing is necessary for onboarding both retail participants and enterprises, and could enable millions of new users entering the blockchain space.

The network raised $20 million in its seed round led by Distributed Global in December 2022. The round also included funds such as GSR and Truffle Ventures.

Nillion’s CEO and co-founder Alex Page said, “Think how many web2 apps you opened today that utilize some kind of private data. Computation with private data is the fundamental breakthrough to enable the next generation of crypto apps. All those web2 apps can become onchain apps, thanks to Nillion Network”.
