Taylor Swift Fends Off New Releases From Jung Kook, Beyoncé And Usher

Fridays are always exciting when it comes to new music releases, as it’s the day when the vast majority of albums and singles drop at the beginning of the chart tracking week. This Friday is especially thrilling, as a few of the biggest and most successful stars of the year are back with new releases. While their massive fan bases are showing up to support the latest from their favorite musicians, a familiar face is still ruling when it comes to sales.

Taylor Swift currently dominates the U.S. iTunes chart with her newest release, “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault).” The singer surprise-released the track earlier this week to celebrate being named Spotify’s most-streamed artist globally of 2023.

While “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” may be new to many, it’s not actually a previously unheard tune. Swift included the tune as a bonus on the Late Night Edition of her 2022 album Midnights. It was previously only available to those who bought the CD, but now it’s out for all to enjoy.

“You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” has been running the show on iTunes in America since it was released days ago. Now, despite tough competition from a pair of powerhouses, Swift is still sitting pretty at No. 1, as Swifties continue to buy.

New at No. 2 on the American iTunes chart comes the remix of “Standing Next To You” by Jung Kook. The BTS superstar re-released his current single with Usher on board. While the R&B singer brings plenty of starpower to the cut, it hasn’t quite managed to topple Swift on the ranking…at least not yet. In the coming hours or days, Jung Kook could very well rise to the summit, as he’s known as a top-seller in the industry.

Coming in right behind Jung Kook is Beyoncé. The Renaissance star shocked the world by dropping a new single at midnight on Friday (December 1) titled “My House.” The song appears to be connected to her latest dance era, based on its striking cover, but for now, it’s a one-off cut.
