Ben Armstrong, a crypto influencer, was arrested late this Monday after an apparent confrontation with his former business partner. Some part of this happening was live-streamed on X (formerly Twitter). The crypto influencer was carrying a loaded weapon in the “backseat of his car.” He was traveling with one other person, as shown in a live-stream snippet on X.

Amidst all this, BEN tokens were floated by Armstrong earlier this year. The token dropped almost 30% as reports of the arrest leaked early yesterday. It must be noted that Ben Armstrong was previously ousted from his media firm, BitBoy Crypto, following a unanimous decision, as per an August announcement, which led to Monday’s altercation most probably.

An online record data at the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department site indicates a “Benjamin Charles Armstrong” was arrested, but there are currently no charges listed.

Another Mishappening for Ben Armstrong

During the live stream, Armstrong insisted his actions were not driven by paranoia or substance influence. As he said, “This is someone who’s been in fear for his life for too long… I will really enjoy the cops coming here.”

The crypto influencer continued broadcasting during police questioning, admitting to having a weapon in his truck and being accompanied by Cassie Wolfe, his co-founder and alleged mistress. Although, he clarified that his wife was aware of his doings and location.

As Armstrong explained, “Cassie is the girl I had an affair with. She’s involved in this situation with me and this guy (Carlos) right here. My wife knows. We were just in my daughter’s tennis match.” He stated, “The confrontation with Diaz was due to threats and the theft of his Lamborghini.”

According to an X post, the arrest followed an intended live YouTube broadcast where Ben Armstrong aimed to confront his former business partner, Carlos Diaz, to reclaim his Lamborghini. He stated, “If Carlos Diaz comes out of his house and tries to kill me live on YouTube, then it’s just gonna have to be what it’s gonna be, Carlos.”

The X-post

It can be said that this arrest occurred after an X-post from Armstrong about going live from a “very special location on YouTube.” He discussed a conspiracy theory involving his crypto asset BEN coin and U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters before the police’s arrival. Notably, last month, the BitBoy Crypto platform distanced itself from Armstrong. The platform cited concerns over “substance abuse and financial repercussions on the workforce.”

<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>I’ll be going live soon from a very special location on YouTube so get ready this is going to be good</p>&mdash; Ben Armstrong (@BenArmstrongsX) <a href=”https://twitter.com/BenArmstrongsX/status/1706448425321980334?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>September 25, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src=”https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>

Hit Network, which manages BitBoy Crypto platform, also severed ties with Armstrong. Meanwhile, Diaz, associated with Hit Network, has allegedly been threatening Armstrong.
