BARC Stock Analysis Showed Bullish Trend With Over 9% Price Rise

Highlighting the outstanding market performance this week, the RSI of BARC stock reached the overbought zone. With bulls’ support, the stock price marked its one month high. In its upwards ride, BARC share price surpassed its 200-day EMA. Meanwhile, this trend also surpassed the 160.00 GBX price mark.

Moreover, on September 14, 2023, Barclays announced the appointment of Christian Oberle as Head of Americas Financial Sponsors Group. In addition, the bank also announced the appointment of Tom Vignon as Managing Director and senior member of its Financial Sponsors Group in EMEA. 

BARC Stock Price “To The Moon”

BARC is undoubtedly bullish right now. This price surge added 13.85 GBX in its trading price which then closed at 161.79 GBX on its September 15, 2023 trading session. On the weekend, the stock traded was trading between 163.60 GBX to 160.32 GBX.

As the above price chart shows, over 90 Million of trading volume was noted in recent trading days. That took the RSI of BARC stock to its overbought zone. In the last 1 month, BARC shares rose over 11% which further showed more than 15% price rise in the last 6 months. Notably, similar price performance was noted previously when Barclays reported its recent quarter report late in July 2023.

Barclays PLC (LON: BARC), a British multinational universal bank, has a market cap of nearly 24.70 Billion GBP (press time). According to its recent Q2 2023 report, its net income is 1.33 Billion GBP. Also, its last dividend per share was 0.03 GBP and as of today, Dividend Yield (TTM)% is 4.81%.

Its Q2 2023 report, released late in July 2023 states that BARC earnings per share (EPS) is 0.09 GBP whereas the estimated figure was 0.08 GBP which accounts for a 7.90% surprise. In the same quarter, the revenue amounted to 6.29 Billion GBP despite the estimated figure of 6.55 Billion GBP.

For the upcoming Q3 2023, the estimated EPS is 0.07 GBP, and revenue is expected to reach 6.32 Billion GBP. In the previous year, Barclays PLC ORD GBP0.25 revenue amounted to 24.96 Billion GBP, out of which 17.87 Billion GBP came from its highest performing source at the moment – Barclays International. Notably, the greatest contribution to the revenue figure was made by the United Kingdom. Last year it accounted for 14.91 Billion GBP.
