Stray Kids And TXT Made The 2023 MTV VMAs Historic For K-Pop Stars

Three South Korean groups secured awards at the ceremony, marking another successful year for K-pop artists. In fact, 2023 may have been the biggest year yet when it comes to representation for artists from the Asian nation. These wins not only celebrate their achievements but also add to the list of K-pop groups that have earned MTV Video Music Awards.

Currently, five K-pop groups have won VMAs over the years. While the awards may not be evenly distributed among these groups, each year brings new opportunities for K-pop artists to shine and expand the list of winners.
