Chainlink Teams Up with Encode to Launch 4-Week Bootcamp for Aspiring Developers

Encode has announced that it will be launching a 4-week developer bootcamp that is designed to bring programmers up to speed with the Chainlink ecosystem. The program will cover key services provided by Chainlink, including the network’s proprietary Oracle solutions, provably fair randomization, and cross-chain communication services.

The bootcamp can be attended either live or retroactively. Each participant will receive a unique NFT to certify that the course material has been completed. Encode hopes to support the next wave of developers seeking to land a role in Web3.

Encode said that the bootcamp is designed to take developers “from beginner to Chainlink builder in just a few weeks.”

Starting from 29th August, the 2023 bootcamp will span four weeks in total until the final workshop closes on 20th September. Attendees will be given hands-on support from the hosts, who will be available via dedicated Discord channels along with members of the Chainlink team.

What can developers expect from Encode’s Chainlink Bootcamp?

Oracles and Datafeeds

Developers will learn how to connect smart contracts to off-chain data sources using Chainlink’s industry-leading Oracle solutions. Oracles can help to expand the number of use cases for blockchain-based dApps, providing a secure method of integrating off-chain data with digital assets, including real-time price feeds for derivatives trading and stablecoin protocols.

Verifiable Random Function (VRF)

Chainlink’s Verifiable Random Function (VRF) framework will be covered in-depth, which can help developers to create immutable randomization functions that are tamper-proof and free from manipulation.

VRF is commonly used in NFT minting, where items with variable degrees of rarity are automatically ascribed to artwork collections. A verifiable random function helps to ensure that each buyer has an equal chance of acquiring an NFT with the rarest characteristics.

Automation

Chainlink provides high-quality and reliable smart contract automation services, which will also be covered in depth during Encode’s bootcamp. Automation enables smart contracts to be executed automatically when certain conditions are met, which can unlock broader functionality when creating dApps.

Data workshop

Encode will provide an overview of Chainlink data storage, run in collaboration with Kaiko. Kaiko is an industry-leading solution for market data, including real-time price feeds and other integrations that are made possible by Chainlink’s Oracle services.

The data workshop will be hosted by Anastasia Mlachrinos and Michael Allouche, two members of the Kaiko team who will provide useful insights into real-time data feeds for Chainlink applications.

Chainlink Functions

Chainlink Functions enable programmers to connect smart contracts to any Web2 API. This can be used for a wide range of purposes, including collecting data from social media, recording training data for artificial intelligence tools, and integrating messages directly into smart contracts.

Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP)

Developers will learn how to use Chainlink’s CCIP service which can provide a secure method of launching a single dApp on multiple blockchains. CCIP currently works with most EVM-compatible blockchains, including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, and BNB Chain.

Encode’s CCIP workshop will be the final event during the four-week bootcamp. Developers will learn how to integrate the CCIP interface with custom-built applications and program smart contracts that can automatically communicate across different blockchain networks.

How can I sign-up for Encode’s Chainlink bootcamp?

Developers can sign-up for the 4-week bootcamp right now. The process is simple: it shouldn’t take any more than five minutes and it’s completely free to register.

You can find more information about how to sign up for the Chainlink bootcamp by heading to the Encode x Chainlink 2023 Bootcamp website.

What is Chainlink?

Chainlink is a decentralized Oracle network that provides smart contracts with access to off-chain data. The network is designed to bridge the gap between blockchain technology and real-world applications by enabling smart contracts to interact with external data sources.

Chainlink has become a popular solution for developers due to its ability to securely and reliably retrieve data from multiple sources, providing a level of decentralization and transparency that is essential for many community-backed blockchain services.

The project continues to expand its services, and now enables developers to build secure cross-chain protocols and automatically-updating smart contracts using blockchain oracles.

LINK price prediction

The current price of LINK is $7.68, up 5.06% in the last 24 hours. The CoinCodex price prediction algorithm expects LINK to climb a further 27.24% in the next month, taking the price of LINK to $9.52 by 8th September 2023.
