Nobody truly knows where Kylian Mbappe will be playing next season, not least the French forward himself. Mbappe has made clear his desire to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract 12 months from now, but the French giants reportedly want to sell him now. That has opened the door for potential suitors.
Al-Hilal made a sensational €300m offer to sign Mbappe on a one-year contract worth €700m while Real Madrid view the 24-year-old as a long-term target having chased him for years. PSG suspect Mbappe has already agreed terms on a deal which would see him join the Spanish giants as a free agent next summer.
Most recently, though, Liverpool have emerged as suitors with the Reds reportedly in discussions over a loan deal for Mbappe. This would see PSG receive a sizeable loan fee from the Premier

Liverpool have enjoyed such success under Jurgen Klopp by planning for the future with their business in the transfer market – see how they have rebuilt their midfield unit this summer by landing Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai with Jordan Henderson moved on and Fabinho expected to leave too.
The loan signing of Mbappe would be a departure from this strategy, but the French international is a talent on another level. It could be argued that he, along with Erling Haaland, is the most dangerous attacking player in world soccer at this moment in time. Liverpool might never get another opportunity to capture him.
Haaland made an incredible impact on the Premier League last season, winning the Golden Boot in his first season as a Manchester City player. Liverpool, meanwhile, struggled for much of the campaign and ultimately finished outside the top four, meaning they won’t play in the Champions League this season.
That could be a barrier to signing Mbappe, even on loan, with the Frenchman desperate to operate at the highest level, but Liverpool could feasibly sell him on the Premier League being the place where the sport’s best test themselves in the modern age. Mbappe could pit himself directly against Haaland.
Mbappe’s arrival at Anfield would change the landscape in the Premier League. It would surely propel Liverpool back into title contention after a fallow season last term. It would also say something about the standing of the English top flight and how the sport’s best players view it, even if Liverpool proves to be only a stop-off for Mbappe on his way to Madrid.
