Bronny James, son of billionaire NBA star LeBron James, has been discharged from the hospital three days after the younger James went into cardiac arrest during a University of Southern California basketball practice.

The 18-year-old James will continue his recovery at home, Merije Chukumerije, a cardiologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, said in a statement first reported by the Athletic’s Shams Charania.

James was “fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable” upon his arrival at the hospital earlier this week, according to Chukumerije.

James’ medical staff is “hopeful for his continued progress and are encouraged by his response, resilience, and his family and community support.”
