Vodafone Group (VOD) Stock Showed Bearish Trend in YTD Analy

Vodafone Group (VOD) stock price performing bearish since the beginning of this year, but has now started to show a bullish performance. The year-to-date (YTD) price analysis of VOD stock showed a 7.29% price decline. However, in the recent 1-month of price performance, the stock price showed a 0.74% price gain. It seems investors have started showing their investment interest in Vodafone Group.

Although, the VOD share price further noted an over 15% price decline in the last 6-months’ price analysis.

VOD Stock Price Analysis

Vodafone Group (VOD) stock price opened at $9.50, and noted high at $9.60, on its July 19, 2023, Wednesday’s trading session. The VOD stock price showed a 1.71% price gain in yesterday’s trading session while its recent weekly price showed a 0.85% upsurge. The recent weekly and monthly price gain shows bulls’ increased interest, as per the data sourced from TradingView, a web-based social network for traders.

As shown in the above price chart, the recent closing price of the VOD stock is nearing its 20-day moving average, which may reach its 50-day moving average, if bulls continue to show their dominance. However, the stock’s RSI further seemed like trying to take an upside ride.

Notably, when Vodafone Group reported its last semiannual report, H2 2022, in mid-May 2023, the VOD stock price almost reached its 100-day moving average, which now has formed a bearish market trend.

The company reported its semiannual H2 2022 report on July 16, 2023, which stated its net income is $11.35 Billion. VOD price-to-sales ratio is 0.55, while it has an Enterprise Value to EBITDA ratio of 3.95.

Moreover, VOD dividends are paid semi-annually and its last dividend per share was $0.47. As of now, Dividend Yield (TTM)% is 10.05%. However, the revenue for the same period amounts to $24.55 Billion, despite the estimated figure of $24.48 Billion. The estimated earnings per share (EPS) for the next semiannual is $0.22, and revenue is expected to reach $23.11 Billion.

In 2022, the revenue of Vodafone Group reached $49.67 Billion, out of which $39.49 Billion came from its highest performing source at the moment, Service. Notably, the greatest contribution to the revenue figure was made by Germany, which last year brought Vodafone Group Plc $13.64 Billion.
