The weekly tally, published by Billboard, ranks the most-consumed songs in the world based on a methodology that combines sales and streams. With the debut of their latest smash hit, “Take Two,” BTS extends their lead over every other artist in the industry.

“Take Two” marks BTS’s seventh No. 1 hit on the Billboard Global 200, an achievement that surpasses all other artists by a wide margin. In fact, the gap between BTS and their closest competitor is increasing and significant, as they have more than double the number of chart-toppers. The Latin powerhouse Bad Bunny trails behind with three No. 1 hits.

Following closely behind Bad Bunny are a collection of esteemed pop stars and rappers who have also managed to secure multiple No. 1 hits on the Billboard Global 200. Ariana Grande, Blackpink, Drake, Justin Bieber, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift all boast two chart-toppers in their discography. While these artists have undoubtedly made their mark, BTS’s consistent success sets them apart.

Since its establishment in 2020, the Billboard Global 200 has been dominated by no one like it’s been dominated by BTS. In their first year, they achieved three No. 1 hits with “Dynamite,” “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” featuring Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, and “Life Goes On.” In 2021, they doubled their tally with “Butter,” “Permission To Dance,” and their collaboration with Coldplay, “My Universe.”
