PEPE, the meme frog crypto, recorded a +72% price pump in the last week, leading the bull run of memecoins such as DOGE and SHIB.
PEPE leads the bull run of meme crypto assets: price pump of +72% in the last week
PEPE outpaced memecoins such as DOGE and SHIB in the bull run this week, with price seeing a +72% pump, according to CoinMarketCap data.
And indeed, while seven days ago PEPE was worth $0.0000009207, at the time of writing, it has risen to $0.000001582. Not only that, on yesterday’s day, PEPE came close to $0.0000017.
The crypto-community’s most beloved frog continues to climb in the overall ranking based on market capitalization. Currently PEPE is already in 64th place, with $620 million in total market cap.
This is quite an incredible achievement considering that this crypto was launched only last month.
Not only that, PEPE has also seen an increase in trading volume in the last 24 hours, by +16%.
Taking a look at the big picture of the other two major crypto memes, Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), they too followed the bullish trend this week, albeit with somewhat different price pump percentages than PEPE.
DOGE, the eighth crypto by market capitalization, has experienced a +7.77% price pump in the last week, with a 26% drop in its trading volume in the last 24 hours.
SHIB, the 17th crypto by market cap, has seen a more substantial price pump than DOGE, but still far behind PEPE. It is up 17% in the last week, while in terms of trading volume, SHIB has seen a +42% in the last 24 hours.
Comparison with other smaller memecoins
As of yesterday, PEPE occupied the ninth position by global trading volume among the top ten coins, with trades totaling $682 million in the last 24 hours.
But that’s not the end of memecoins. Indeed, there have been other significant price pumps such as the one recorded by Miledy Meme Coin (LADYS) with its +36% in the last week.
FLOKI, which ranks 110th in crypto by market capitalization, also saw a +26% price pump in the last week.
However, those who have seen a counter-trend to the overall bullish trend is the Jesus Coin (JESUS) meme coin, which has seen a price dump over the past seven days of -52%.
PEPE celebrates its achievements with over 125,000 on-chain crypto holders
Yesterday, Pepe shared a tweet communicating its achievements in terms of on-chain holders.
This is the achievement of 128600 total PEPE holders on chain, including 121,900 on the Ethereum blockchain, 5,700 on Binance Smart Chain, and 997 on Arbitrum.
Not only that, in the day of PEPE’s price super pump, a tweet from Gemini’s crypto-exchange appeared on its Twitter account involving the crypto-community frog in its video message, “this is the end of the crypto winter.”
