Controversial social media star Andrew Tate and his associates have been charged in Romania with human trafficking and rape, months after his dramatic arrest and detention.
According to the BBC, Tate’s younger brother Tristan and two other unnamed associates have been charged with “rape, human trafficking and forming an organized crime group to sexually exploit women.”
Tate, a self-proclaimed misogynist, has been under house arrest in Romania since March after a court ruled in favor of him moving out of prison as the investigation continued.
Tate also faces a civil suit in the U.K. from four women who accuse him of rape and sexual assault.
Tate has not commented on the indictment but retweeted a fan account that wrote no judge has “reviewed the evidence” against him.
This is a developing story.
